Once you have your outline made, there are 2 ways to colour.
First is by hand shading.....this suits small areas and also offers bolder shading
Lets start by explaining how shading works
Just colouring inside of the outlines is fine, but it looks flat.

To give it more depth we need to shade the outside of the inside...........lol
Lets see how I got from this:

to this:

After filling in the outline with blue, change the blue to a darker shade and zoom in on your drawing and paint one or two lines inside the black outline........like so:

The more lines you add the more depth is created.
